A silent sentinel watches over his misty domain. I captured this photograph in 2014 in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia. The Bald Eagle is often pictured up close and personal, but here we see him in his element, one with his environment, Small but not insignificant. For me seeing an animal in its environment gives it more meaning, to understand it fully it must be seen as a part of a larger system. Even the mighty Bald eagle is just one piece of an infinitely complex puzzle.

Nature is constantly reminding us that nothing is separate, we are all one, we are all just part of a vast interconnected network that we call nature.
